Michelle Wyman
Executive Director
Michelle Wyman serves as the Executive Director of the Thomas Lovejoy Amazon Biodiversity Center. Wyman brings a wealth of experience in science policy with a focus on climate and sustainability research and action. She is responsible for all aspects of the organization. She has worked in all levels of government, across industry sectors, and led several nonprofits over two decades with an emphasis on conservation, diversity and inclusion, to restore and protect the environment. Wyman serves in a variety of board and advisory roles with domestic and international organizations. Wyman holds a Master of Public Administration from New York University, a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, and a Bachelor of the Arts in German Literature from the University of Texas, Austin. She also received an International Diploma in Urban Ecology and Sustainable Development from the University of Copenhagen.

Stephanie Sparkman
Program Assistant
As Program Assistant, Sparkman supports the Executive Director with program work and administrative management. She has over 15 years experience working in local, state, and federal government with environmental monitoring, permitting, and program management. Prior to joining TLABC, Stephanie was a geographer with the U.S. Geological Survey. Sparkman received her Master of Science in Geographic and Cartographic Sciences from George Mason University and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Virginia Tech.
