Dr. Thomas Lovejoy named U.S. Science Envoy

In February, Dr. Lovejoy was named U.S. Science Envoy by the Department of State.  As Envoy, Dr. Lovejoy is traveling to Peru, Malaysia, Colombia, the Philippines, and possibly Cuba to cultivate relationships with government officials and members of the scientific and land management communities to discuss the importance of preserving rainforest biodiversity and policies that can reduce deforestation.
