ABC Founder Thomas Lovejoy named Virginia's Outstanding Scientist
On September 26, Amazon Biodiversity Center Founder and President, Dr. Thomas E. Lovejoy, was named one of Virginia's Outstanding Scientists in 2019 by the Science Museum of Virginia. He was recognized for his work to expand the field of biological diversity over the course of his 50-year career, and for raising the alarm about the devastating global impacts of deforestation.
